

On 1 October, on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, representatives of the Election Administration congratulated Tamar Gorjeladze, a 100-year-old voter, residing in Kobuleti Municipality and one of the oldest voters in the region.
The meeting was attended by Paata Keshelava, Chairperson of the Supreme Election Commission of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara; Nodar Meladze, Deputy Chairperson and Gela Khaknelidze, Chairperson of the Kobuleti District Election Commission.
During the meeting, Ms. Tamar recalled her many years of experience participating in elections and noted that she had actively participated as a voter in elections held since the restoration of Georgia’s independence. Representatives of the Election Administration presented Tamar Gorjeladze, as one of the oldest registered voters in the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, with a commemorative certificate.
She was also informed about the innovations introduced by the Election Administration and the services available to voters. At the end of the meeting, Tamar Gorjeladze thanked the guests for their attention and visit.
“Through this meeting, we wanted to express our respect for the older generation. At the same time, it is important for us to ensure that information about the activities of the Election Administration and voter-oriented services are equally accessible to everyone, including older citizens,” said Paata Keshelava, Chairperson of the Supreme Election Commission of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara.
